Regret...?

I am not sure if i regret the job switch or that I am finally accepting the fact that I am not suitable for this job.

Recently I keep having the thought that I should start taking responsibility of my life and stop living day by day aimlessly. I don't wanna look back 10 years later and feel that I did nothing to make my life better. There have been so many reports saying Singaporeans are not happy and I couldn't agree more. I am unhappy daily now cos of my work. Every single day I dread going to work, I am starting to worry I will get depression from it. BUT my problem of not knowing what i want to do in life persists. what do i want to do? i think the easiest way to make myself feel better is to let go of the pay. I think i have reached the point where my happiness outweighs the money/pay i can get if i stay in this industry.

i think it's time for some action.

hopefully after monday's talk w the boss, i will have a better idea on what to do.

Korea 2012

Day One - 24 Mar 2012

Yay~the long awaited Korea trip ^^

At Changi Aiport with Merlion :) i am all dressed and ready for the cold weather in Seoul as compared to Ms Teo in her long blue flowy dress and slippers haha

At the waiting area...

We were lucky to get 2 empty seats beside us so i was able to move over and we each had 2seats to ourselves ^^v but i kinda slpt throughout the flight cos there was nothing really exciting...i only watched New Year's Eve which was...just ok...
After 6+ hours...we have reached!!*excited*~
Arrival~

it was really quiet..and we had to take a train from where we alighted to the Customs area...

It wasn't even that late though, it was only 9+ 10 at night..Ms Teo cleared the customs faster than me so by the time i reached the luggage collection, I already heard her "piak piak piak" sounds coming towards me :P
At the arrival hall~*quiet*

We spent sometime trying to figure out where to get to the bus...we only know we have to go to either door 8 or 12. When we reached door 12 (btw it was quite cold outside), that's when we realised that we need to get the tickets...and apparently the one just next to the bus stop has closed since 10pm!*gasp* Ms Teo decided to take it upon herself to find where else to buy the tix while i stay to guard the luggages...anddddddddddd i was on wifi immediately kekeke~ there was a security ahjussi who seemed to realise i am a lost tourist and started to loiter ard me..as if waiting for me to ask him for help~ haha but after a few msgs on whatsapp and Ms Teo was back and apparently we have to go to door 8 to board :\ *rolls luggage over* we encountered our first case of language barrier when the porter asked us where we were going...and i guessed we pronounced it wrongly...:X

On the bus, it was quite empty...only about 8 ppl on board...and the first advertisement (Ms Teo pointed out to me) was Bigbang's for Lotte Duty Free, yes~ i am in Korea! :)

The bus ride was kinda long ...abt 1+ hour? the good (?) thing was, they actually had announcements in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese at each stop...the bad thing was...it was very very soft haha..so i can't really catch what was said...luckily they had a sign which shows the stops as well as we were able to kinda estimate where to get off :)

After we alighted, we felt the cold weather in full force after the first gush of wind hit us...seriously it was reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy cold...my hands and ears really felt pain from the wind :( after trying to find the guesthouse after 10 mins, we decided to approach a lady who was walking her dog and boy was she friendly! we were like..."errr" and she was like immediately "yes?" and helped us figure out where the guesthouse was and brought us allllllllllllll the way to the doorstep. kind lady~

Silly us still got the wrong place...cos apparently there was 2 guesthouse side by side. Anyway, on the door of our guesthouse, it had a notice that said if no one answers the door after ringing the bell, pls let ourselves in thr the side door! so that's what i did...and we even had to move our luggages down a narrow flight of stairs only to find out that we are at the wrong guesthouse! but luckily the guy from the other place helped us carry the luggages up the stairs and rang the bell for us again. this time the guy from our guesthouse responded faster...apparently he did come and check the first time but we were too impatient haha..he speaks english rather well actually which is good~ but he almost could not find my reservation which caused me to freak out a little-.-

our room is at the corner on the same floor as the "front desk" which is basically really just a desk w a PC and some notes here and there..i think we were lucky not to get the ones upstairs, if not we have to carry our luggages up 1 more floor *phew* :)

After settling down, time for some photos...i took the bed while Ms Teo took the one on the floor...

I thought the toilet will be small and squeezy like Japan's but this was surprisingly spacious and clean looking :)

The room was of cos not very big but definitely more than enough for 2 of us :) they had some shampoo/ shower foam on a basket in the corner but it looked like they have been there for quite some time so of cos we left them the way they were...there were quite a bit of tv channels to choose from so it was good for tv addicts like us (even tho there are no subs we still watched their local channels) :)

Shot of us before we slp...me in my long john pjs haha :P

Day Two - 25 Mar 2012
Had minimal breakfast cos the bread in the guesthouse's pantry was kinda dry :\

Got our T-money pass from the machine...took us a little while to figure it out~
Down the escalator we take daily :)

On our way to Trick Art Museum~

Reaching~

The museum is only 1 level but it was kinda crowded that day so we skipped quite a few pieces...

The idea was to look like i am pushing his head back...but the effect didn't come out well

All the spots where we were supposed to place our hands have faded...goes to show how many thousands of ppl have taken the same photo :P

The effect didn't come out as good as we want though...if u look closely u can tell the diff in the flooring..haha

Actually i think the actual pose was for me to "take" the ice cream from fat David...but not tall enoughhhhhh

Ballooned up Mona Lisa

Pulling the boar out~

Pulled down Mr Scream's pants lol

Shot in the head -_-

I saw my fren's photo before going to this place but somehow i found her photo more "real" than mine...weird

I was in this same pose for almost 5-6 shots cos Ms Teo just couldn't get it right :\ and from flashy toothy grin, it faltered to small minimal smile hahaha

wanna feel like a super star?

Most convincing photo of the bunch

taxi overflowing w shopping~ pretty similar to wad really happened to us haha

overflowing money~ if only this was true tooooooo

i forgot wad was this supposed to show? trapped in an hourglass i guess?

my arms are a little short...my hands are supposed to be after cuffs hahaa

SUSHI :D

Playing w the mirror

Mirror maze...it's very small though so didn't have much difficulty finding our way out

Playing w the angles...

My legs!! obviously not very convincing cos the legs are too long lol

There was a quiz we were supposed to complete...so i had to find my Olympian God - Poseidon :)
After that we got to spin the wheel, LJ got a postcard of the museum while i got...a pencil T_T
Leavinggggggggggg...

After the museum it was time for lunch! we were still in hongdae area but most of the eateries were not opened...not sure if it's becos it was a sunday so we didn't have much choice...we came to a shop that sells bibimbap and something w pork...and since these were the only things we understood, we ordered the pork thingy...cos the bibimbap photo showed some weird veg that doesn't look very appertising hahaa

Our first meal in Korea - spicy pork w noodles and rice hahaa...the sides were quite nice actually...some crunchy veg which obviously Ms Teo doesn't eat hahaa and she had to dip her food in the yummy beansprout soup cos it was too spicy for her haha i don't really like the pork cos it was a bit hard and w fats...:X

Then we head to Hongdae flea market but er....either we were at the wrong place, it's too early or it's just very small...hardly have much stores...

The very big mirror at Hongdae :)

Since there was nothing much, we decided to head to Shinchon where the Ehwa women uni is...( i didn't realise it's THAT near our guesthouse)

We decided to walk from Hongdae cos apparently it's walkable but we didn't reallie know the distance and just walked on anywayz...we prob walked for a good 20-25 mins in the cold wind hahaha

Ehwa women university...looks very artistic and really conducive for studying :)

After walking ard...we stumbled upon.....Se7en's Yeolbong chicken!! it was really a pleasant surprise~
even tho this wasn't the branch we wanted to go, we decided to have dinner here since it's sooooooooooooo near our guesthouse :) we returned to the guesthouse for a small break before going back to this place for dinner...i must say we returned pretty early for the first night :)

We wanted to go to the other branch cos it was the first one opened and more celebs apparently go there
Chances of meeting a celeb in Shinchon is almost close to ZERO...hahaha

Ordered the specialty and we chose mild spicy...but it was still quite spicy! it's still yummy tho :)

Looks pretty harmless right but it has small chilli padi in the sauce and Ms Teo can't take hot stuffs at all...after just a few bites, i feel like puking again T_T so i couldn't really enjoy it...and LJ felt obligated to finish the food but i decided we should just da pao it (so i can eat later too) hahaa

The sides and cold soup which are untouched

The wall filled w the celebrities' photos that ate at Se7en's shop...other than the usual YG ppl, still got Rain, Hyunseung and Junhyung :)

Becos i couldn't reach TOP's photo...so GD will do :P

The photo above us...GD and Seungri

Photo w the cute Yeolbong chicken logo :)

When we went in, there was a grp of girls finishing their meal and 2 of them went to take photo w the photos on the wall...but by the time i wanted to go do the same, they were gone and the rest of the customers were kinda...like working grown ups...so i was a bit hesitant...nonetheless i decided to be thick skin and go pose for some photos...(see the reluctant smile?)

With GD :)

w yeolbong chicken and se7en ~

Tada~ end of day 2
