(i have decided to use medium size photos cos the small seems like cannot see clearly :P)

Day 4: Gamagori - Hakone - Mt Fuji

Weather: Normal to very cold!
Mood: TIRED!

Early in the morning, reallie not much appetite, so had porridge again (ppl who knows me might know that i keep away from porridge as much as i can unless i have very nice dishes to go w it...so it's rather surprising that i keep eating porridge for breakfast)...abt the same as ytd b reakfast... toast and cereals etc...

I ate rather little for this breakfast :\ (btw, both of us are wearing smurf shirts!)

Then we set off from our hotel ( a rather small but well equipped one) to our first destination today...Takeshima Island where the Yaotomi Shrine is found. Today's weather is rather fine, i survived w 1 long sleeve, 1 tee shirt, 1 jacket...so far so good :)

As we were walking towards the island, we met different grps of Jap and the tour guide asked us to say "Ohayo Gozaimasu" to them, and they will reallie greet us back...
we met a grp of sch boys doing their morning jog, even tho some of them are alr running out of breath, they will still reply back w zest...i think if we do that in sg, the ppl will think we are mad :\

The shrine is rather deserted tho..prob cos it's a Monday morning so we were the only ones there....

Supposed to rub the legs of the horse so that u will run very fast...
Why do i need to run fast u ask?
errrrrrrrr...i duno...being the ks Sporean that i am, i just did wad the rest did...hahaha

Ring ring~

See how strong the wind is?!?? :\

Anyway not i like to take photos w yz hor, just tt ee likes to take photos so naturally we became her "models" :P

The bridge...we are walking back now to find the supposed pigeons to feed cos we din see any on our way towards the island...haahaa...
Pigeon feeding time, but we were so intimidated by the pigeons, ee got "chased" all the way to the middle of the bridge when we first started feeding at the start of the bridge O.O
Anw, halfway thr, a big fat crow flew down to "join" in the fun...ewwwwwwww...i hate their crows!! all SO big...:(
Blow wind blow :X

Next, we went to the fish market...but surprisingly the fish market, no fishy smell de...they kept it very clean actuallie...BUT the big prob is, it's VERY cold!!!! very windy i think...omg...totallie no mood to look ard sia, i just wanna find a place to sit down n eat sth hot!

Prawnz (p/s when i post this entry, i just went prawning today...reminds me of the prawns we caught today...:\)
I heard Hokkaido has much bigger crabs than this!!
Some scallop thingy...not bad, quite nice :)
Today we were supposed to eat lunch on our own......and this is where the story of the nice bus driver officially began...

What happened was, we were in desperate need of hot food so happens we saw our bus driver, so we decided to ask him if he knows where can we find ramen? We honestly tot he will just point us the shop but he began leading us store by store to help us ask if they sell ramen, after trying 2 shops, both dun have, he decided to go opp the road to try so we followed him but secretly i was thinking, do we have to go so far? O.o hehe...but anywayz so we crossed the road and managed to find a ramen shop! (hooray for hot food!)

So we had lunch together...kinda awkward for me as i dun speak jap, so totallie dunno wad to say to strike up a conversation...shortly after, our noodles came so we started eating...u know Japs like to slurp up their noodles? so i "tried" to make noises while i ate...very not used to it leh :\ hahaaha...
Looks like the char siew ramen we have in Singapore...haha
Tastes good but maybe also cos i am hungry :P

Anywayz, most of the time was ee who tried to talked to him lahz...after that, we went to foot the bill and he paid for us!!! errrrrrrr...we tried to pay him but he kept refusing to accept...and thr the little english he spoke, i understood it as he treats us like his daughter cos he has 1 just abt our age...

shesh...he's so very nice...and the worst part? our tour guide was not happy that he brought us to eat and roughly get the idea becos she thinks that he's the bus driver and his job is just to drive and not bring us ard etc...we saw her on the bus while on the phone w the bus driver and her face was thunder black! *scared!* as tho we have caused this to happen...felt so bad after that...hai~

There was nothing much we could do so in the end, we just try to act like everything's fine lor...zzz...anywayz after lunch, it's not as cold but still cold so we din eat the ice cream made from squid ink(black teeth, imagine that!) but we did manage to buy an eel biscuit (which i din get to eat in the end cos i gave them to my colleagues -.-) so back on the road we went...to take Bullet train!

Shizuoka Station ...

We had abt half an hour w nothing to do b4 going on the train, so we just stood there n watched the ppl coming out of the station, all the guys are in suits and the younger ones look damn good lah! stylish and yet look pro...omg...hahahah

Our ticket~

On the escalator~

The train moves VERY fast, OMG...when the first one shot past us, ee got the shock of her life, she literally jumped a foot away...hahaa...so funny cos the tour guide was w us then she was more shocked by ee i think...hahhahaha...but it reallie looks very fast, i wonder how it feels to be inside?

While waiting for our train, we saw this very cute kid inside the train, i must say Jap kids are reallie very cute...coming from a person who literally hates kids, that's saying a lot...:P
Inside the train, we were told by our very "stern" but nice tour guide that we shldn't take photos inside as the other passengers might not like it...so happens she sat in front of us so when we took the photos, we were like sch kids, scared of being caught...hahahha

So anywayz, there i was, waiting and waiting for the train to pick up speed and i kept asking has it accelarated yet? In the end, i heard "de deng deng deng, we will be reaching the next station, Shinfuji soon........" (translated into eng..haha) -.-" when u are inside u reallie cannot feel the speed at all...i can only say it's designed by very good engineers...hahaha

Btw, the first time i saw mt fuji was on the train itself, wow~ reallie very beautiful~

Our destination Shin-fuji station...
Mt Fuji~

A lot of snow mountains...

Mt Fuji up close(r)

Isn't the view breathtaking? it's reallie very beautiful at the top there...we were very very lucky, even tho there were fog but they opened to the 5th station which is the highest u can go on normal days (lucky lucky~) but u know the higher we go the colder it gets lah...on our way up the mountain, the tour guide said the temp outside is 7 degrees...OMG -.-" isn't that reallie winter temp?!?!?! zzzzzzz...and she ask us to touch the window if we wanna know how cold outside is...so i touched...*faints* it's reallie like ice! >.<>
But the good thing abt the weather being cold is we managed to see some sakura! they are wild sakuras but nonetheless still very pretty~

When we reached the 5th station, we saw a ger outside in leggings!! she's my ou xiang man..but can tell she is very cold lahz...omg :(

We still managed to take quite a few photos though cos it's reallie too beautiful not to take more...and i think we were all rather numb to the cold...hahahah...

To show that i "stepped" on the snow...-.-

They had heater inside the shop and there's a place where u can send postcards...then the postcards will have the mt fuji stamp...quite cool huh...they can reallie think of all sorts of ways to make money...but the stamp is reallie pretty (as is almost everything in Jap lah)~

We bot our little Mt Fuji "soft toy" there...costs Y800 ok?? for such a small thing...but it's very very cute~ hehe...and we bot some mochi there which is made from the "Good" Mt Fuji water...why i put "" ard the good? cos later when we went to the hotel for dinner, that's wad was written as the label of the water...kekekeke...

Actuallie now that i think back, i reallie dunno how we survived it w the clothes we had...it was -2 degrees...i had 1 long sleeve, 1 tee, 2 jackets on and just jeans and normal shoes that left part of my feet exposed...compared to when i went korea, 1 long john, 1 sweater, 1 big fat winter jacket, thick wool socks and shoes that covered my whole feet and that time i still felt cold...so i am reallie very impressed by the 3 of us...hahhaha...

After the horribly cold experience, we went to the super market...yay~ we can get some food!
Look at the BIG RED Fuji apples!!!
But the prices scared meeeeeeeeeeeee
A weird looking tomato... see below~
Watermelons, they arranged them from small to big~ hehe
Finally we went to our hotel at Fit Resort Club, according to the tour guide, it's a high class resort...
Our hotel room...it's so big, i was shocked...haha...it looks like a mini apartment, w the little kitchen area, the "balcony" and the 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and living room...hahaha...

Dinner time~ today's dinner...so so le~...
But desserts i like :)

The place for another hot spring experience :)

Our rooms are at a different building from the hot spring, so we had to walk from one building to the other in the cold!! and tt time i only wore 1 tee shirt and 1 jacket plus track pants..hahaha...but the distance is very short lah so it's okie...

The hot spring place reallie quite good...got the moisturiser lah, hair cream lah, hair dryer, sterilised combs etc etc...Today's hot spring got 1 hot, 1 w bubbles, 1 COLD...and we managed to soak abt 5-8 mins longer than the day b4...hehe...and we were all alone~ hooray~

After that, we went to use the massage chair, WAH, damn useful lahz...cos for the past few days since day2, my calves have been hurting for no apparent reasons...but after this massage...wah ...next day the sore diminished A LOT..and they also provided some leg cream there which i tot was reallie quite good...maybe i shld have bought 1 bottle home >.<
After hot spring...see how at home they look~ :P

Our FOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD..cup noodles, beeru~, chips, sake, bubble gum (ee's), strawberries, choya wine...
Mini vs normal size :P
Our cup noodles...yumz~

The mess~ we are reallie very messy sia :\

So we all tried sake for the first time but dunno is it we chose the not so nice one(cos a lot was left on the shelf while another brand one only left w 1..) so it din reallie taste nice...in fact, i forced myself to drink the cupful of sake...hahah but everything also must try try then know lah...so our "xia jiu cai" were the strawberries and some chicken flavoured twisties lookalike...but twisties is nicer...lol...and we spent a lot of time watching tv...even tho we dun understand but roughly got the idea and managed to entertain ourselves till quite late...

Since there were 2 bed rooms n got only 2 beds in each, i decided to slp alone since i wanted to slp first...but actuallie i tot the hotel room was rather creepy...maybe cos not enough lights and plus not a lot of ppl stayed there lahz...i was rather scared all the while i was inside the room...
after that my colleague told me she always hears a lot of stories abt the hotels at mt fuji...*scared* but i was alr back in sg then lahz...

So that's Day 4 for you...Yay~ 3 more to go :)
